Title:Harry Potter | Rating:4/5 | Release Date:11/16/2001 |
Harry Potter And The Socerer's Stone is an adaptation of the first of J.K.
Rowling’s popular children’s novels about Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a boy
who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful
wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his
life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding
school for wizards. There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies
and help him discover the truth about his parents mysterious deaths at the
hands of a powerful adversary. Magnificent computer imaging is used in the movie to create a spectacular speacial effect. Like "The Wizard of Oz," "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," "Star Wars" and "E.T.," it isn't just a movie but a world with its own magical rules. This isn't just a movie for kids who read the book, it is movie for the whole family to enjoy. I highly recommend seeing this future classic. |
